Outlook Express E-mail Error

My Outlook Express will not send email messages.After
clicking the send button the following message is
displayed "some errors occurred while processing this
request,etc". Also,under the task - error line,it states
1.The service unavailable, try again later. Error
#0x800CCCF0. 2.Unable to poll for new message on http
server,etc. I`ve had my pc since about mid-august and
I`ve had the problem since day one.I`ve had to subscribe
to hotmail in order to use email service. Can you help me
solve the problem? Its very frustrating because my
scanner picks outlook to send photo,documents,etc,and I`m
not able to send anything that way. Thanks a million if
you can help me. Harold.

I am no pro at this, but I also use OE.
Did you set up your account profile in OE?
Did you specify the server name for SMTP and POP3.
SMTP is used for outgoing mail.
What ISP are you using to connect to the internet?
Is OE set as your default mail program in Internet
Explorer?
These are things I believe you have to do to get it to
work.
