What is the URL that your accessing Windows update >?
What version and build of service pack do you have installed on this
machine>?

Hi All,

I had the same problem, I fixed it by:

Double click the little Norton Internet Security icon usually just to the
left of the clock.
Click on "Personal Firewall", and then click "turn off"
Click ok to the warning box (if it pops up)

Try windows update again

*Turn your Personal firewall back on!!!*

also a quick search for Error 0x80072efd may be usfull
