After i have install sp2, the IE, WMPlayer, Outlook
Express, and Messenger dosen´t access to the Internet.
However, other programs can access to the internet (like
mozilla, and games).

I check the proxy configuration and is correct.

The message that appers in IE is:

"Internet Explorer could not open the search page."

Tanks.

I was looking at info in the Windows update section of these listings and
found others out there with the same problem. I had to uninstall the SP2
upgrade. I was advised by Microsoft to do a "safe mode" upgrade,
unfortunately when I am in safe mode I cannot access the internet and I can't
do the upgrade. I am currently waiting for a response from Microsoft on what
to do next. Best of luck to ya'! Hopefully there will be a response out
there for all of us.

No you can't, but you can download the entire service pack first, and then
do the upgrade in safe mode. However I have already done this, and it
didn't help.

I post the problem to he microsoft and i don't have a
response yet.

The curious is that after i have install sp2 and reboot i
the ie, msn, .... works fine. But after that i modify some
service (i don't remember now), and after a reboot the
problem apears to the first time. So i enable put all
service to "automatic" mode and i try again, but i don't
have any succesuful results.

Steve;
Go to Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel.
Double click "Service Pack 2" and follow prompts to uninstall SP-2..

If you post details in a new thread of what is happening, someone here
may be able to help resolve the issue without losing SP-2.
