I am unable to update because I get the message that my
security settings do not allow me to run ActiveX
controls. I have repeatedly tried to change my internet
security settings, but nothing seems to work. Any help
would be appreciated.

Well, I don't feel so bad..if you figure out how to fix
it, please let me know. I'm having the same problem! My
security settings aren't the problem but I can't even
download anything from the windowsupdate site because of
the error on activex controls!>.

I am also having this problem and I can't figure out how
to fix it it seems to have nothing to do with the
securtiy settings. I also can not log onto the MSN
network. The only thing I can think of is to reinstall
Windows XP. I can't even get at my hotmail email
account, so if anyone has an answer please post it here.
