I put a suggestion from a Google Groups search on error number
0x8024D007 under your post. Was that a thing that you tried?

command in the opened window.

2. Click Start, Run, type: %windir% and press Enter.

3. In the opened folder, rename the folder SoftwareDistribution to SDold.
4. Click Start, Run, type: cmd and press Enter. Please run the following

If the issue persists after we tried the above steps, I suggest we refer to

There is no charge for WU Support.

You can get to WU Support from Internet Explorer via:
Help > Online Support > in Assisted Support topic >
"Select a product to view your assisted support options" >
in Windows topic > "Windows Update" > select your country >
start email request > accept license agreement >
and so forth, then fill out and submit their form.
