Outlook 6 and Service Pack 3

I just installed SP3 and now my outgoing mail does not connect to
send....stays in connect mode until failure window opens. Incoming is just
fine. Any ideas? I cannot reload OE6 I wil llose all my files in it.

Troubleshooting error messages that you receive when you are using OL and OE

Disable email scanning by your anti-virus application. It provides no
additional protection and even Symantec says it's not necessary:
