Hello
I recently installed the feature that checks regularly for
updates and pops up a window saying that there are
critical updayes available.
I recently installed the feature that checks regularly for
updates and pops up a window saying that there are
critical updayes available.
However, I do not want it to do this so often or to stop
doing it.
Does anyone know how to manage this feature or disable it
all together?

Look at your Desktop, look for My Computer icon, do a right-click on it, select Properties.
Next click on the Automatic Updates tab.
You should also use Windows Help (from Start menu) or Help & Support if using XP to look up automatic updates/updating or critical update notification (if on Win98).
