The updates have not installed for the last 3 tries and I continue to get the
Shield that shows updates are ready for install. Is anyone else having the
issue, if so could I get a resolution to get updates Installed?

Tried downloading/installing manually?

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/953297
(http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/ms09-061.mspx to go to a
place where you can download for your OS/SP level.)
(Read the "Known Issues" section carefully.)
(As well as the "How to obtain help and support for this security update"
section.)

Know what Operating System/Service Pack level you are using/at?

Start button --> RUN
(no "RUN"? Press the "Windows Key" + R on your keyboard)
--> type in:
winver
--> Click OK.

The picture at the top of the window that opens will give you the general
(Operating System name) while the line starting with the word "version"
will give you the rest of the story. Post _both_ in response to this
message verbatim. ;-)
