windows update cant be done

not runing and i did what it tell me to do and it cant still heres what it
says
"The site cannot continue because one or more of these Windows services is
not running:
Automatic Updates (allows the site to find, download and install
high-priority updates for your computer)
Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) (helps updates download more
quickly and without problems if the download process is interrupted)
Event Log (keeps a record of updating activities to help with
troubleshooting, if needed)
To make sure these services are running:
1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. Type services.msc and then click OK.
3. In the list of services, double-click on Automatic Updates and then click
Properties.
4. In the Startup type list, select Automatic and click Apply.
5. Verify that the Service status is started, if the Service Status is
Stopped click on the Start Button.
6. In the list of services, double-click on Background Intelligent Transfer
Service (BITS) and then click Properties.
7. In the Startup type list, select Manual and click Apply.
8. Verify that the Service status is started, If the Service Status is
Stopped click on the Start Button.
9. In the list of services, double-click on Event Log and then click
Properties.
10. In the Startup type list, select Automatic and click Apply.
11. Verify that the Service status is started, If the Service Status is
Stopped click on the Start Button."
i did it and it cant be done,can someone help me please

The issue is most likely related to some incorrect system configurations. To
resolve the issue, we can use the following steps. We can test the issue
after performing each step.
Step 1: Reset Internet Explorer settings.
==========
1. Click Start, Run, type: inetcpl.cpl and press Enter.
2. Select the General tab, and in the Temporary Internet files window, click
Delete Cookies, and click OK.
3. In the same tab click Delete Flies, check the "Delete all offline
contents" box and click OK.
4. Click on the "Security" tab. Click on each zone and click the button
"Default Level".
5. Click the Advanced tab, and click "Restore Defaults".
6. Under the Advanced tab, uncheck Enable third-party browser extensions
(requires restarting).
7. Click to select the Use HTTP 1.1 and the Use HTTP 1.1 through proxy
connections check boxes.
Step 2: Check the local Windows Update services.

This issue can occur if three services have not been configured correctly.
Please refer to the following steps to check them:
1. Click Start->Run, type "services.msc" (without quotation marks) in the
open box and click OK.
2. Double click the service "Automatic Updates".
3. Click on the Log On tab, please ensure the option "Local System account"
is selected and the option "Allow service to interact with desktop" is
unchecked.
4. Check if this service has been enabled on the listed Hardware Profile. If
not, please click the Enable button to enable it.
5. Click on the tab "General "; make sure the "Startup Type" is "Automatic".
Then please click the button "Start" under "Service Status" to start the
service.
6. Repeat the above steps with the other two services:
Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) Event log
Note: The Startup Type of BITS can be "Automatic" or "Manual"; the Event log
service is enabled on all of the hardware profiles, which does not have an
option to enable or disable on certain hardware profile.
Step 3: Rename the temporary folder of Windows Update.
===============
This behavior may occur if the temporary folder of Windows Update has been
corrupted. We can refer to the following steps to rename this folder. Please
be assured the folder will be created again when we visit the Windows Update
site again.
1. Click Start, Run, type: cmd and press Enter. Please run the following
command in the opened window.
net stop WuAuServ
2. Click Start, Run, type: %windir% and press Enter.
3. In the opened folder, rename the folder SoftwareDistribution to SDold.
4. Click Start, Run, type: cmd and press Enter. Please run the following
command in the opened window.
net start WuAuServ
Step 4: Re-register the Windows Update components.

1. Click Start, Run, type: cmd and press Enter.
2. Run the following commands:
Regsvr32 msxml3.dll
Regsvr32 wuapi.dll
Regsvr32 wuaueng.dll
Regsvr32 wucltui.dll
Regsvr32 wups.dll
Regsvr32 wuweb.dll
Regsvr32 qmgr.dll
Regsvr32 qmgrprxy.dll
Regsvr32 jscript.dll
We will receive "succeeded" message if a component is registered
successfully.
Step 5: Disable firewalls or other Internet browser programs that can affect
the Internet connection.
(IMHO - Note it would be a good idea to have the Windows Default Firewall
enabled if you are going to proceed with this Step 5).

The following programs can affect the connection to the Windows Update site
and I suggest you remove or disable them:
TweakMASTER DNS
Web Accelerator
Download Accelerator
GetRight
Browser Blaster
Sygate Personal Firewall
Norton Internet Security
Freedom Firewall
Zone Alarm Firewall
If you have any other similar programs such as a pop-up blocker, please also
temporarily remove or disable it to test the issue. If this issue appears to
be related to a firewall program, I also recommended that you contact the
firewall manufacturer to obtain the information to configure the firewall
options to allow the access to the Windows Update site.
Step 6: Reset the proxy list (and bypass list).
==================
This issue can occur if the proxy has not been configured correctly. Let's
first reset the proxy list.
1. Open Internet Explorer. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
2. Click the Connections tab, click LAN Settings, and then click Advance.
3. Delete any entry in the Exceptions section.
4. Quit Internet Explorer.
5. Click Start, click Run, type cmd, and then click OK.
6. Type the following commands. Press ENTER after each command.
proxycfg -d
proxycfg -u
net stop wuauserv
net start wuauserv
