Download the failed updates from the Microsoft Download Center and install them
manually. There's some kind of glitch with Office updates on Microsoft Update,
hopefully it will be sorted out eventually but in the meantime it's back to the
old-fashioned process!

Sorry Harry, this did not work.
I´ve got the error msg "could not apply update", no record in the
windowsupdate.log.
The ohotfix.exe need more than 5 minutes to start the installer and occupied
the CPU 88-98%
There must be another problem

Sorry for the delay in replying, the kids are home for the Christmas holidays so
I'm kept pretty busy at the moment! Unfortunately now that I have had a chance
to get back to you, I can't help, apart from suggesting that if you are a home
user you can get free assistance directly from Microsoft for problems related to
security updates.
