Hi,

I need to connect remotely to a MsWindows2000 professional host and export
its desktop and I haven't other options other than using the Ms remote
desktop via RDP (it is not possible in my environment to use other products
such as PcAnywhere, VNC and so on).
Do you know if this is feasible? In other words, is there the possibility to
install the server side of RDP on a MsWindows 2000 professional machine?

Thank you in advance.
Best regards.
Diego.

Sorry, no. RDP was part of the server operating system for quite a
while. The first time it appeared on a desktop it was in Windows XP
Pro. If you need to get on that way, you must upgrade the OS. Vista
Business and some other flavors also have it.
Too bad you can't use something like GoToMyPC. That would fix the
problem. Or somehow geting XP. You need to open ports in your
firewall and have some kind of a static IP or DNS forwarding to get
onto your computer.
