terminal services screen is blank

i have no problem logging in but my profile never seems to load. i
only get a blank desktop. ts shows me logged in and active. i cannot
right click on the desktop or access task manager in fact no rdp
keyboard shortcuts work. from another log in the only process showing
for my user id is rdpclip.exe

any idea what happened?
