Boy did I screw up! I was playing around with the Properties dialog of a
shortcut that was on my desktop the other day and I found (on the Shortcut
tab) an edit box called "Shortcut Key" which allows you to map a key to a
shortcut. By fooling around with this for a while I somehow mapped this
shortcut to my 'F1' key. Every time that I pressed the F1 key from any
application, the desktop shortcut would be launched. After this got annoying,
I deleted the desktop shortcut thinking that this would unmap the F1 key from
launching the given program. Nope! Even though the desktop icon is gone, F1
still launches the program. Now I can't use my F1 key in programs for help.

Does anyone know if these shortcut keys are stored in the registry? I
searched around but found nothing. This is annoying enough that if I don't
figure it out, I'll reinstall my system; And I really don't want to do that.

Please help! (If you do reply, could you also send email?)
