There are no "reliable" registry cleaners for any Windows versions. For
most parts these cleaners cause more harm than good.

With the business these companies are doing, I cannot help but wonder why
this news has not been exposed more. I started having problems with registry
apps a while back. I was amazed at their sheer obstinance when I specifically
showed them how their app broke one of my apps. They still wrote back and
assured me that it was not their app that did the damage. I courteously wrote
them back and told them they would not get any more of my money, that they
should wonder about how many other fools they could con in the future.
And what is even more amazing about many of these nowadays is the fact
that the results of a scan they give the customer contain this HUGE list of items
that the customer is supposed to weed tediously through and decide if they
should be added to the ignore list ? It was only after quite a bit of tedious work
(and having to reinstall one of my broken apps) that I was able to spot what
RegistryFix was doing wrong.
That's kinda like hiring a tree professional to trim all your trees because you
are not an aborist and don't want to screw it up, and then while the guy is on
the job he hands you the chain saw and asks you should this limb be cut or
ignored ?
They started out promising to get rid of bloated registries, which sounded
good on paper (probably did not really hamper speed that much) but lately
the competition for the money has caused them to run out of control.
Wish there was more public knowledge of this stuff getting out.

If you ever think your Registry needs to be cleaned, repaired,
boosted, tuned-up, cured, tweaked, or optimized (it doesn't), read
