Has anyone ever seen machines which print locally to lpt1 come up with
access denied errors when attempting to print to various Zebra label
printers? The latest one to do this here is a 170 Xi/II, and it is driving
me crazy. Other models have done the same thing, however, and the only way
to fix them previously that anyone could think of was a complete re-install
of NT. This has been happening more frequently lately, however. We have an
all NT domain, and use SMS SP1 to manage the machines here. I would
appreciate any suggestions.

Robert,
Check you Domain users permisions on the printer. NT allows Admins to set
each user with certian rights, i.e Full Control,Print..
Reset these on the share and see if it helps.

Thanks for the tip, but the printers aren't shared. The users are printing
locally, and this error occurs even when logged in as an administrator on
the machine. The error just seems to pop up at some random time after the
initial machine setup, and then doesn't go away until you rebuild the
machine.
