I have followed the procedures to run ¨Setup Manger〃 by
¨STEP-BY-STEP_PREINSTALLATION_OEMS.doc〃 which is located on the
DOCS\WHITEPAPERS of Disk ¨Windows XP OEM Preinstallation Kit〃.

In the winbom.ini made by the Setup Manger, I have added
¨Ipconfig=169.172.0.2〃 and ¨Subnetmask=255.255.0.0〃 to configure
peer-to-peer preinstalllation.

There are 5 steps in Factory Preinstallation:

I have passed:

1. Setting display resolution

2. Partitioning disks and formatting drives

3. Starting networking

But failed at the fourth step

4. Installing the Configuration Set

In winbom.log, there are these two messages,

ERROR: Cannot authenticate to server: Incorrect function.

ERROR: Factory state "Installing the Configuration Set" failed.

I have shared the directory of ¨OPK Tools〃 as ¨Distribution Share〃,
Username = opkuser and Password = "opkuserpassword". In addition, for the
preinstalled application, I have specified network access credentials with
Username = appuser and Password = "appuserpassword".

Could you provide your advice and suggestion in solving this error?

Best regards,

Rudiger
