I'm using NT's DNS, and it's working fine. However, I don't particularly
want all of my machine names viewable to the outside world via DNS. I want
machines on the Internet to be able to see only my workstations and a couple
of my servers (SMTP, DNS, etc), but I don't want my database servers and such
to have their DNS entries viewable from outside. At the same time, I want to
be able to translate their machine names from inside our network. So how do
I accomplish that? Do I create a HOSTS file on my DNS machine and remove the
entries from DNS?

How about a second DNS server with it's own domain name. Make a primary
zone for the internal stuff and a secondary zone (pointing to the Internet
DNS box you have as the primary) for the outside world stuff.
