Bizarre problem with new NT server conflicting with existing Netware
printer/printserver:

Just installed an NT4SP3 server on a tiny LAN that had/has one NW
server. (Soon I'm going to replace NW w/ NT) I noticed that a network
printer stopped working... an old HP III with an internal network
interface (maybe JetDirect but not sure). When this device wouldn't
connect to the NW server nothing could print.

** The only time I could get it to make a connection to the NW server
was when the NT server was down! **

I'm baffled as to what could be the conflict but it's a *big* problem
cause I need to integrate the NT server gradually to their LAN.

At one point the NT server's DOMAIN name was the same as the NETWARE
server name. (their company name) Then I changed that cause I figured
that would cause me login confusion. Could that be related?? Could it
be some Netware service running on the NT server??? Help!

Thanks,

Try setting an internal IPX network number on the IPX protocol properties...
