URGENT ISSUE adding new drive causes 26 drive letters to appear

We added a new stand alone drive to a Clairon array, and rebooted both the
Clarion and the NT Server. Went into Disk Administrator it said found a new
drive and wanted to write a signature to it. We said yes. Then suddenly
all these drives started appearing asking to write signatures. We kept
saying no until it stopped.

Now in Explorer we have drive letters going to Z.

All the drive letter assignements are mixed up.

We cannot find the program files that were on the D drive it now contains
what was previously on E.

There is a partition on C that is unknown that we think may have the D drive
information but we cannot assign a letter to it because it says no drive
letters are available.

In Disk Administrator we can only see as far as K but in explore we see to Z.

At the letter L it looks like it's shows everything that was on C previously
and move down through the alphabet repeating itself.

Do you think using Disk Administrator Restore will fix this? Or ftedit?

Scouring the KB. As you can imagine we are frantic.

PLEASE HELP.
