Hello,

Is there anything out there that will let me backup my NT system? I need
the kind of backup that will capture everything on my hard disk and then do
a full restore from DOS perhaps. Im using version 4.0 of NT. Currently I
have no back up system. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Get a SCSI tape + adapter, install the drivers and run the NTBACKUP.EXE
included in Windows NT. Works fine, but only provides basic features.

Can NTBackups be restored via DOS, if so, how's it done and with what tools?

Sorry, no, but the extra time spent on installing a "minimal" version of NT
(into a different directory than C:\WINNT) and then doing a restore from tape is
not that enormous. Backup Systems with full disaster recovery cost loads and he
asked for a freeware solution.
