I have some Windows 98 machines that can see the DFS structure, but
are not able to see the targets. They can navigate the DFS tree
freely, but when you get to where the target should be, the return
nothing.

These machines do have the Windows 98 DS Client installed.
Windows 2000 machines do see the targets.

any help?

Windows 98 is available as a hotfix.
download this fix QFE#Q323466 (just search for Q323466 in

Thanks. Is there anyway to get this without going through all of the
rigamarole on microsofts tech support site?

Technically, you have to call Microsoft, and get the patch from them.
I was hesitant to do so at first because Microsoft used to take
credit card information at the beginning of the call if they had to
charge you, but they've changed that policy, so the call was fairly
hassle free.

Also, if you want, you can just e-mail me, and I'll send it to you.
