Please could anyone help us to determine why this error
message appears everytime we try to play normal Audio
CD's in Media Player 9.

MP3 files (on CD) and DVD's work fine. MP3's and WMA
files already stored on the computer play OK too!

If an audio CD is inserted into our drive D: or E: we get
the above error message and it will not play. The tracks
are shown on Media Player to have an ORANGE EXCLAMATION
(!) AGAINST THEM almost as if media player cannot find
them.

If this has happened to you, did you rectify it? If so,
how please?

Thanks

Hey, I don't know if this will help you, but I downloaded
the update this afternoon and found myself getting the
same error message and problems when trying to play
(orange color on the name of the songs with an exclamation
point). I figured out that when you downloaded, you
probably also downloaded the "ANALOG DEVICES MEDIA DRIVER
RELEASED ON MAY 28, 2002". THIS IS THE PROBLEM. If you
uninstall this program your media player will work. I'm
listening to mine right now. Hope this works for you.
