I want to add album art for my songs/albums. Problem is, I currently have
all of my MP3s in a folder structure that's organized by genre. So, I have
a folder called "Rock", which has tons of songs from different artists.
From what I can gather, album art is done by folder (i.e. you have a folder
for a certain album and the image is placed in that folder).

Is this correct? If so, is there an easy way to break down my songs by
Album/Artist/Track.mp3 without moving all the files manually?

You can also have per-track-in-folder art based upon the WMID GUID, which
isn't easy to look up yourself, or you can paste it into the file using
WMP's Advanced Tag Editor. None of that is reflected in the shell in
Windows XP, but should show up for playback.

If you need Artist/Album/Track01.mp3 organization, let iTunes handle it. Do
this ONLY if all your MP3 files have ID3 tags are complete. Otherwise it
will be quite a mess after the operation. If you are quite cerain that all
your mp3 files have ID3 Tags complete then install iTunes and change the
music folder to your mp3 root folder. Let iTunes organize the Music Libray.

Thanks! I found an application that was able to set the art on a per-track
basis last night and was able to make some progress. However, I have a Zen
Portable Media Center and I formatted it. After adding many album art
images, I sync'ed. Some of the art is showing up, some of it isn't. I go
into WMP and the art that isn't showing up on the device, is still showing
up in WMP. Any reason this might be happening?

WMP and the device would use different methods for looking up the art.
You'd be the only person right now to know what you've done as regards album
art. =) AlbumArt_%WMID%.jpg should show up, I think, and reasonably sized
album art stored in the file itself should show, I'd believe. But I don't
have a Zen PMC, so you'd know better than I. =)
