I would like to change the names associated with whole albums when they
appear under the Album Artist list. Due to how data has been entered in
CDDB, my media library shows 5 disks under The Alan Parsons Project, 5 more
listed as just Alan Parsons Project (no The), three others under Alan
Parsons, and one listed simply as Freudiana. I want all 14 to appear under
a single Alan Parsons Project heading on the Album Artist list on the left
hand side of Media Player, so I can pick that Artist and play all the songs
on all their albums randomly.

I can change the Artist name for each track in the track window using the
right click Edit menu option, although that's a rather tedious process.
Furthermore, I don't think the artists associated with the tracks are the
same as those associated with the albums, because many of the tracks under
The Alan Parsons Project show only the name Alan Parsons in the track window,
and others list other artists entirely. I therefore don't want to waste a
lot of tiem changing each track's associated artist only to ddisver this
doesn't lump the albums together under a single artist in the Album Artist
list. And the last time Itried to edit the media library database directly,
I was unable to do so because it's some strange database format (is there
some reason MS didn't simply use Access?).

So how do I change the artist associated with all these different albums so
they appear under a single artist?

D'oh! I just figured it out, 5 minutes after I posted, of course. Was
looking for right click 'Edit' option like on the Track list and not for
'Rename'. Consistency would help, but then, so would reading all the
options. So, nevermind!
