I've done a google search and although have managed to find references to
Microsoft ADPCM Format (2) I have not been able to find anywhere where I can
download this codec. Does anyone know where I can download this from?
WMplugins won't load for me, and Windows media Player for Vista won't
download it automatically.

Why would Microsoft not include there own codec?

Is this ASF? ADPCM in ASF (via Media Foundation) isn't supported in Vista.
The codec's there, it's just not going to work that way. You would want to
reencode the content to use a supported codec. If it came from someone
else, you should ask them politely to reencode and stop using ADPCM. If it
came from a device/vendor - same logic. Sorry. =\

In Vista ASF will open in Windows Photo Gallery. All you have to do is
ADD the folder containing the ASF files and you can PLAY THEM.

Seems like the hard way to do it but .... it works
