I GET THE FOLLOWING ERROR MESSAGE WHEN I CLICK MEDIA
LIBRARY FOR WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER 9:

Windows Media Player cannot find the specified file. Be
sure the path is typed correctly. If it is, the file does
not exist at the specified location, or the computer where
the file is stored is offline.

THE ERROR CODE IS:
Error ID = 0xC00D1197, Condition ID = 0x00000000

I HAVE UNINSTALLED AND REINSTALLED THE PROGRAM AND GET THE
SAME ERROR MESSAGE. HAVE GONE TO KNOWLEDGE BASE AND WAS
ONLY ABLE TO FIND ARTICLE 234292 "FILE OPEN ERROR
MESSAGE". PATH TO FILES APPEARS OKAY AND NO FILES HAVE
BEEN CHANGED FROM THEIR ORIGINAL LOCATIONS. PUZZLED
BECAUSE THIS PROGRAM WAS WORKING FINE YESTERDAY. COMPUTER
IS VIRUS FREE AND ALL UPDATES ARE CURRENT. ANYONE HAVE
SUGGESTIONS ON A FIX FOR THIS?

Can other applications play CD audio on your system?

I'd think
http://www.nwlink.com/~zachd/pss/pss.html#medialibrary
should help fix this.

If you switch to use analog playback for that drive under WMP's
Tools:Options:Devices, does that help fix it up?

I changed to analog with no luck. It's almost as if the
CD drive is be used by another device. WMP can see the
files but not access them.
Thanks for your help!

Wacky. Then something's wrong with the drive external to WMP. I don't
myself know how to fix this. Actual product support is probably a better
option.
