Wrong Album Artist

I have a number of song filed under the artist called Various. Most of these
are from compilation albums like Now 53. When I check each songs artist
name it is correctly defined. I have try editing the album artist and
changing the title so that WMP will correctly move this song to the correct
artist. This didn't work.

Only soluiton I have found to work is to drag and drop the song on to the
artist if I already have the correct Album Artist defined on the Artist List.
This has worked for most, but I now have a list of some Artist that are not
defined in this list.
Any ideas who I can either correct the route cause of the problem or create
a new Album Artist which will then let me continue with my work around.

Try this: Open Windows Media Player, press F1 and read the article entitled: To update information about a CD in the WindowsMedia.com database.

Ted thanks for the suggestion, but this doesn't help. This is when you are
ripping a CD new. I already have these CD's ripped in the libary, but the
are incorrectly listed in the WMP database.
