Visualization Lag/Stutter

I have a curious problem with WMP 10 and visualizations.
When playing music the visualization (Battery, chemicalnova) will lag or
stutter.
If I right-click into the visualization pane it will speed up to real time
and look as it should.

I have an older notebook with no-better capabilities but do not have the
same problem with it.

Any suggestions, please?

Thank you.

WMP downscales the CPU usage of visualizations so as to not slaughter your
system. So what you're seeing is kind of by design... getting an updated
video card driver might help with the rendering... WMP is just trying to
make sure it's not pegging your CPU in order to provide eye candy. =\

Thank you for the reply.
Yes, I am aware of the "downscale" that you write of but this never happened
before on this machine.
My daughter goofed with the notebook so I reinstalled the OS and other
software; it was after this that the lag in visualizations w/in WMP began.
This has never happened to me in twenty years of reinstalls or builds so I
figure that, somehow, I created a conflict.
Bottom line; it's not terribly important - I just hate not having an answer
or the ability to fix it.

Thank you, again, and best regards.
