Hello.

In windows XP, using wmp 9 or 10, i could set the full screen resolution for
the most visualizations, including the "Battery" pack. In Vista, and in wmp
11, the settings are still there, but only the "offscreen buffer size"
settings are working - whatever i set it a full screen size, it does not
change when switching to full screen - the resolution remains the same low,
max. 512x384 (which looks extremaly pixelized and ugly).

I expect an explanation from Microsoft employee or forum administratorm to
either explain me how to i get my visualizations (not mine - the Microsoft
OWN visualizations) working as they should when running on full screen, or if
this is not possible, admit that Microsoft has made a complete ____ with this
part of wmp 11.

O have exactly the same problem.Since using the Windows Media Player 11 final
version the vizualizations are awfull in fullscreen. When I was running WMP11
beta, everything worked fine but the final version just do not show the right
resolution in fullscreen mode. What a shame,it used to be very nice..

Uh, these newsgroups (not forums) are peer supported - that is -
members of the public come here and help each other out.

There have been no sightings of microsoft employees here for over 3
years in any official capacity ;-)

Cheers - Neil

FWIW, it seems relatively evident that the visualizations (eye candy)
weren't deemed to be a priority for development. Evidently the people in
charge thought that other things deserved attention. =\

This is a space where third parties can write their own visualizations:
perhaps the thought was that the player team should concentrate on the
player and save eye candy for when other things were solved first? =\
