How do I embed wmv files into my web page and have controls (play/stop/scroll)

I'm looking for a way of embedding a wmv video in my webpage that has
the following attributes:
1. It blends into the background (if the web page background is an
image, I don't want a white square around the player)
2. It doesn't take up more screen real-estate than the height and
width of the player. I want it to show a video the way the Wall
Street Journal site does - a 2.5 inch square video mixed in with text
and so forth.
3. It has a control bar so that the user can pause the video, rewind
the video, start/stop the video

I bought a silverlight player from a company, but it doesn't have #1
and #2.
Any help is appreciated.
