Media Player 11 won't play psychedelia next gen vis I downloaded

Greetings. I'm running win xp 3 pack on Hp mini net book. Vis are sparse on
wmp11, so I tried downloading vis from drop menu in wmp's now playing. I
downloaded "psychedelia" which is a next generations vis pkg. None of the vis
works. I unchecked the media player in the task bar and restarted-no joy. I
downloaded a codec pack for xp. I should state here that I am very much a
beginner pc user- I had no idea if this was a codec issue or not! Still no
joy. tried re-installing-no good. I'd be very grateful for any suggestions
anyone can offer. Thank you!

Codec packs wouldn't do anything useful for this.
What happens when you try to use them? Have you contacted the vis maker?
