Both links on the MSDN site (to signing + submitting) are broken - I guess
with the retirement of WMPlugins.com
I've spent ages creating Morphyre (www.morphyre.com - you can download it
from there), and it would be a massive shame if it wasn't available (or at
the very least linked) from the windows media player site.

thanks,

What are the URLs on MSDN that you're referring to?

On the vis page, it says"To learn how to create visualizations for Windows
Media Player, see the MSDN pages about Visualizations. ", which goes here:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-gb/library/aa393409(VS.85).aspx
click "About Custom Vis..." and get here
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-gb/library/aa384807(VS.85).aspx
then click on "Submitting" and get here:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-gb/library/aa392953(VS.85).aspx
under 'Signing', the link there is broken
And it says "Consult the Windows Media Web Gallery for more information on
how to distribute your visualization." (with a link) which brings me back to
the very first page, with no hints on how to submit a plugin.

So any ideas on how to submit it or who I can talk to?
You wouldn't have thought it would be so hard to try and contribute
something :)

Do you work with John... ?

To mostly quote from my email to him:

At this point I am unaware of any submission option, and do not believe
there will be any direct path. I suspect a new external visualization
aggregation point would need to exist. I'd further suspect that if a solid
aggregation point did exist (deviantart... ?), it might be possible to get
the Windows Media Web Gallery to point towards that, or some other
leveraging of people-who-do-that-kind-of-thing-better.

This is me speaking for myself only, as a friend to you, as always, and is
in no fashion a statement of any Microsoft policies or standards or anything
else.

Thanks Zach...
Yep, In a way - It's still a part time thing. I write the visuals engines
and John makes the scenes give people epileptic fits :)
I just saw the Visualization section of Windows Media player - which
appeared to have some third party options - and thought there would be a way
of submitting. We're just trying to find some way to get the visuals featured
at the moment - I didn't realise John was prodding you too!

thanks for your help and time,
