When I play a DVD, the video is garbled, like a kaleidoscope. I checked in
the support information, and I have the Microsoft MPEG-2 Video Decoder
installed. I'm using Vista Home Premium. When I go to Options - DVD -
Advanced, I get something about a Sonic Solutions program from 2006. How can
I choose the Microsoft DVD decoder? I have a utility that lets me select the
decoder for Media Player 10, but it seems like it doesn't work for Media
Player 11. Can someone please help me?

I wasn't able to fully uninstall it when I upgraded to Vista. This is the
latest in a series of problems it's caused.

Take care,

Does WMP's Help:About:Technical Support Information tool indicate what Sonic
files are still installed?

Have you contacted Sonic support about uninstalling their filter?
