WME 9 crash on streaming live from webcam

Windows Media Encoder 9.00.00.2980 crashes upon attempting to stream
live from integrated webcam.

Webcam works fine with MSN Messenger and Skype but WME keeps
failing...

All I get when finishing the streaming wizard is a "Windows Media
Encoder has encountered a problem..."


What should I do to find out the cause of the problem and get the
streaming working?
