Help with C00D002E error Code!

I use the following system:
Workstation XP Professional SP2 dual Xeon 2.8 Ghz, 1Gb Ram with Windows
Media Encoder 9, Windows Media Player 10 and Mpeg2 Codec.
I tried to convert a large file .avi (mpeg2) to .wmv CRB size 360x288
32kbps,22 kHz, stereo (300Kpbs), when the encoder tried to start fired an
error C00D002E,instead if I tried to convert the same file to .wmv CRB size
720x576 40kbps,32 kHz, stereo (2000Kpbs) I have no problems.
What is the mean of the C00D002E error Code? How can I fix it?

I'm using a dell inspiron 1525 Intel Dual Core, 2gb RAM, and windows vista.
Windows media encoder always crashes upon clicking the start encoding button
whenever I try to do anything with an .AVI file.

WME uses the same playback filters ("Directshow") as WM Player.
So I guess the million dollar Q is whether the AVI plays OK in WMP.

Have a look at the file using GSpot http://www.headbands.com/gspot/ to
determine if you have the playback filters installed correctly for the
content inside the AVI file
