Since you snipped the entire content of the post you were responding to it
is hard to understand the responses in the above post and what advice you
are giving to solve what problem.
Any MC compatible TV analog tuner is capable of receiving TV content using
a Coax connection on channel 3/4 and yes you have to control that with the
tuner of the STB providing the RF signal.
Tuners with analog tuners are also capable of receiving direct video are
also capable of receiving S-Video/compostite and stereo audio input.
You can not receive S-video or composite input using a MC compatible analog
tuner with MC unless you have a MC compatible IR receiver with an IR
blaster installed or are using a program that will emulate having one
installed
