Boy did YOU wander into the lion's den!
This newsgroup is for Microsoft-based players that operate with Windows
Media Player or Zune software, not Apple's iPods. You probably need to
consult an iPod/iPhone-centric newsgroup.
Having said that, what you are describing is NOT a function with iPods or
iTunes "out of the box"- iTunes, by design, only syncs in one direction-
computer to iPod, not iPod to computer. Presumably, this is an anti-piracy
measure on Apple's part, otherwise you could take your iPod to a friend's PC
and "give" them a copy of your library. Third-party programs, like Yamipod,
can do what you wish, however. There's a pretty good roundup of such
utilities here:

Good luck!

Officially, the iPod Touch only syncs with iTunes. It's a free download
from Apple, the maker of the iPod, and once installed, you can import your
WMP library into iTunes.
Having said that, there's a utility called Dopisp that supposedly allows you
to sync iPods with WMP. It's availalbel here: http://www.mgtek.com/dopisp/
I really don't know anything about it other than what its developer claims
at that link.
Any further discussion or instruction about that is probably beyond the
intended scope of this NG. This group is for Windows Media-based devices.
iPods are certainly not WM-based devices!
