I have been trying to download the Security patche that MS
said was needed. The Problem I run into is: The small
window comes up that shows it is downloading and the small
bar window fills up blue and it will show that the total
number of KB downloaded are the same as it shows it
contains. I will stop and does not go onto install. An
example is one said would take 4 minutes. I was finished
but never did any thing else even though I waited over a
hour. The same happened on the next one that said it would
take 45 minutes it showed all the KB were downloaded and
stopped at 6 minutes again stayed there for over an hour.
Of course the only option button at that stage in both
cased is Cancel.

Any help would be appreciated.

Zoe,

The issue lies with the AOL browser . Windows Update can not install the
update with the AOL browser. Try this : sign on to AOL, minimize it,
open Internet Explorer and go to Windows Update.
