Hello,

I am trying to edit a .mpg movie (MPEG-2) with the Windows Live Movie Maker,
but when I import the file, only audio works, video doesn't. The video bar is
all grey, and I can't publish, getting me the the error message: "vs filter:
wrong file version" multiple times while importing and "error code
0xC946001D" from Windows Moviemaker when clicking on the video bar.

I can open the file with Windows Media Player after it downloaded a codec. I
checked to see which codec is needed and installed it (ffdshow video decoder,
part of K-Lite Codec Pack). Although I activated the codec, the problem still
isn't fixed. I'm not sure WLMM works with the codec at all.

The same happens with some .avi files. Any idea what might fix the problem?
Help would be much appreciated.

P.S.: System: Windows Vista 32
