Windows XP Pro Movie Maker

I see this newsgroup is for Windows ME Movie Maker, is there a newsgroup for
Windows XP Movie Maker?

I am running Windows XP Pro SP2 and every time I open Movie Maker, an error
box pops up and I have clicked Debug and Send Error Report but it always
closes Movie Maker and I am not able to use Movie Maker. Has anyone else
had this problem?

I guess Movie Maker downloaded years ago when I got SP2 and I have just
recently tried to use it. I do have all my updates.

i HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM.i HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING IMAGINALBLE, BUT,
ALAS, STILL THE ERROR MESSAGE. i HAVE TRIED UNINSTALLING MOVIE MAKER
AND PUT IN A COMMERICAL PROGRAM. SAME RESULTS. Ii HAVE GIVEN UP.

SORRY FOR THE ALL CAPS, JUST NOTICED MY CAPS LOCK IS ON, BUT I AM NOT
GOING TO RETYPE IT

Same here! I checked my error log....something about "Faulting application
moviemk. exe, version 2.1.4026.0, faulting module qedit.dll, version
6.5.2600.2180, fault address Oxooo1b2af." mike...@sbcglobal.net
