mp3 audio import problems

When I import an audio file I get an error message
(The selected file is not valid or is corrupted.)
I was able to import the same song with the same file type (nothing changed)
and it played fine but now I can't. Also when I go into my project all the
audio files I imported earlier do not play now either. Please help. Do I have
to uninstall MovieMaker and reinstall?

And posting to a newsgroup that is for the support of those using the legacy
operating system Windows Millennium which has an older version of Moviemaker
than that included with XP.
May I suggest you post details of what you are trying to do with Moviemaker
to the XP Moviemaker newsgroup which is
microsoft.public.windowsxp.moviemaker where hopefully someone will be able
to help you.
