Hi,

I need to find a USB to Ethernet adapter for a CE device running Windows CE
5.0.

Is it possible to get the necessary software (or driver) to make one of
these cables work? I have Googled alot but come up empty and I am not a
hardware person.

The OS version cannot be changed right now.

Thanks for any help.

Chris,

You would probably be better served by posting your query to a newsgroup
supporting Windows CE about which I know nothing. This newsgroup,
nowadays virtually dead, is for those running the legacy Windows
Millennium operating system.

FWIW - D-Link do a "Fast Ethernet - USB2.0 Adapter" DUB-E100 (Comes with
drivers)
http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=133

It works on my WinMe box with a USB 2.0 PCI card (and driver) but don't know
about Windows CE 5.0 (although no reason to think that it shouldn't)

PS - It is backwards compatible with USB 1.1 of course.

Hi,

ASIX's USB-to-LAN solutions do support the WinCE 5.0/6.0 drivers. The
following are some available ASIX's USB-to-LAN solutions in the market for
your reference. You can download the latest ASIX's USB-to-LAN WinCE 5.0/6.0
drivers from ASIX's web site
(http://www.asix.com.tw/products.php?op=ProductList&PLine=71) directly.

All ASIX's USB-to-LAN drivers were qualified on ASIX's USB-to-LAN demo
boards with ASIX's default VID/PID. If these drivers couldn't work with your
USB-to-LAN adapter, you might need to contact the manufacturer's support guys
to get the correct driver. Hope this information is helpful for you to solve
your issue soon.
