Weird screen problem with MS Reader on ME

It is a TFT replacing a CRT - but I think that is not the issue -
although drivers might be.
MS Reader was already installed and running and in use on PC.
With the new monitor, on opening Reader, the front screen is fine, but
all subsequent screens are both upside down and in mirror writing, and
for all books I have here already, and for new downloaded books.
I removed the Reader version I had, downloaded the latest from
Microsoft.com, checked OK the version with their sniffer, and activated
the version fine, but still is inverted and mirror image.
I have been all thorugh the MS knowlegde base and followed up every
lead to no avail, including all the grpahic accelerator issues.
I have done a serach for my monotor and graphics adapter for drivers
and have the correct driver in the latest versions for both.
I have re-run the ME installation CD.
I have done a Windows Update and am on the latest available.
I have checked all plug and cable pins for bad or crossed contacts and
all appears OK.
Reboots, restarts, etc have no effect.
All other applications with the monitor are fine.
I can't go back to the old monitor since I no longer have it, it is on
the local town rubbish dump.
What next?

The monitor is a AOC DXBL17.

Sorry to hear that, Nick.
Did you try everything in the "Properties" section, i.e. the proper adapter
choice and then select your specific monitor?
If nothing else will work, a new or different monitor may be necessary,
unless someone might have the solution at hand.

Yep, everything, inclduing web search for driver updates.

Weird thing it is *just* Microsoft Reader. Everything else is all OK. I
wondered if it wre something to do with MS licences for the product,
but I've reinstalled all that.
Next thing I'm going to do is take this monitor to a frioenfs PC
running XP and see what happens there.
Else it might be follow up the AOC trouble ticket lead as posted by
Shaun.

At least you knew it was a loco rather than a HEXAdecimal number that
might be more likely on a forum such as this.
Class 25s were my pet machines, I did 50,000 miles of travel with them
despite their lack of main passenger workings.
I chose the number D7666 for the 666 bit :o)
