Good evening,

I'm considering installing ME on an older 66 MHZ, 256k RAM machine
currently running 95). The ME requirements call for 150 MHZ. Does anyone no what
problems I might encounter ?

.......thanks.....mike......

66Mhz with WinMe would be like crawling.
Stay with your 95

Good evening,

.......thanks.....mike......

One of the first things ME does is to verify system requirements. I've not
found any way around the 150 Mhz requirement.

Good luck,

John

Very easy, use the following command line for install:

setup /nm
(I would also add /iv /is and even /ie, know that if you add /ie though that your EBD folder will NOT be created)

I DON'T however recommend you do this with a 66Mhz system.

Thanks for the information.
Where did you find this option? Setup help only reveals the following:
--------------------
"Setup Options: SETUP [batch] [/ie] [/ih] [/im] [/is] [/iv] [/T:tmpdir]

batch Specifies the name and location of the file that contains the Setup
options.
/ie Skip the Startup Disk screen.
/ih Run ScanDisk in the foreground.
/im Skip the check for low conventional memory.
/is Do not run ScanDisk.
/iv Do not display billboards.
/T:tmpdir Specifies the directory where Setup is to copy its temporary
files.
This directory must already exist, but any existing files in the
directory
will be deleted."
--------------------
Are there any other hidden switches?

Regards,

John

That switch is also used by Windows 98 to check for the minimum of a 486/66

More setup switches can be found at
