Embedded CE 6.0 Stress Test Tool will not connect

I am attempting to use the Embedded CE stress test that is part of the
Embedded CE 6.0 Test Kit.

I connect my CE 6.0 device to the Test kit server (running on a desktop PC)
with no problem. I then right click on the device, click on "Tools" and
select "Embedded CE stress Test". After a moment or two ( downloading files
to target) the dialogue for the Stress test opens, and I then click on the
"launch" button, at which time I see the message at the top of the dialogue
"Attempting to connect to device". It will sit in this state for as long as
I allow it. When I eventually click the "Terminate" button, it will remain
in the "Attempting... " screen for an additional period of time, but will
eventually display a message in RED saying "Failed to connect to target
device"

Has anyone seen this??? If so, do you know the resolution to this???
