Hi all,

I am using WINCE 5.0 on my device. In that using ethernet KITL i am getting
the debug messages in the Platform builder. But my problem is i am not able to
use any of the remote tools like registry viewer, file viewer etc.,when i try
to connect to the device it is saying

"Platform Manager was unable to connect to the device. Please check your
statup server and transport settings and try again".

I have tried changing the both transport settings and startup server
settings but not able to get it working.

Using target "CE target control" shell i am able to see the process
"CEMGRC.EXE" running on the device.

I have disabled the firewall settings of my desktop PC which is running on
Windows XP.

Can any one suggest what could be the issue?

Thanks,
Prabu

The following works for me:

Set Platform Manager to "TCP/IP Transport for Windows CE", check "Use
Fixed Address" and "Use Fixed Port". Select "Manual Server", and when
you click TEST it will generate the command prompt for you to enter at
the device end.

Hope this works. And acknowledgements to Paul T, who suggested it to me
in the first place.
