Hello, I have recently purchased a industrial pc with windows ce running on a
compact flash card. I would like to instead run the pc off of a SATA drive I
have added to the pc. Is there a way to copy all the data from the compact
flash card to the SATA drive.

I am aware that ce is built using platform builder, but since this was sent
to us by a vender, we do not have the luxury of recreating the ce build. I
looked in to xcopyce.exe for file transfers but it couldn't handle folders
names with spaces. I have read you can create a os image in ce, I am unsure
if that would be a possible route.

Copying the files isn't the hard part, heck you can drag and drop using
Windows Explorer.

The hard part is setting up the disk to boot, and specifically boot to
Windows CE. See
http://geekswithblogs.net/BruceEitman/archive/2009/07/12/platform-builder-setting-up-a-usb-key-to-run-biosloader.aspx
which I titled for USB keys, but the steps are the same for a SATA drive.
But I don't know if your CF card is using biosloader or loadcepc, do you?

The easiest way might be to take both the CF card and the SATA drive to a PC
and use something like Symantic Ghost to create a disk image of the CF card
and transfer it to the SATA drive.
