Dear All,

I have purchased a COMPACT C-810, operated under Windows CE 2.0. It is
provided with the English Pocket Office.

In a Palm-Top Computer actually a need a dictionary with English and Dutch.
If possible also German and French.

I can already check the spelling of English words using the Word Pocket.

Could some one advise me where to find software for Windows CE concerning
English / Dutch dictionary, if possible including also German and French ?

Or could some one advise me how to expand the Spellings Checker of the Word
Pocket with Spellings Checker for other languages?

If you have some information please let me know at ks...@skynet.be.

I would like to thank you in advance for your help in this matter.

Hi Gavin,

AFAIK the VB Toolkit only supports HPC., if you want to program for a
PPC, you'll have to use Visual C++

Have you installed the PPC SDK? That would probably be the source of your
problem.

The VB toolkit will support 2.11 PPC with the PPC SDK.

First, it's pretty rude to cross-post to so many groups, especially when
they don't relate to what you're asking about. I'm going to respond into all
of them so you'll get the answer.

This exact issue is covered in my FAQ, although it is a bit of a hack....

Try creating a new P/PC project from scratch in VB. Make sure that the form
is the correct size (set on the project properties dialog) at 240 x 320.
Don't add anything else to the application, select to run the project on
your device and launch it. You should have a form on your P/PC.

Thanks for the reply Larry

Tried that though and nothing.
Its funny how it shows in BTask though as if its running i mean i can Quit
it fine but no form will show at all i did set the form to 240 x 320 and did
not add anything to it maybe i need to completly reinstall the SDK again and
the toolkit again maybe something is missing ??

Ahhhh..... Just had a thought because I had the same thing happen to me the
other day. Have you changed the x & y offset positions of the window? If in
the form properties you set the window position to Centered or something I
think it actually shows the window off the P/PC window. Ensure the x & y
offsets are set to zero.

Yes thanks Trevor

Your right but my goodness evertime i compile i have to move the window to
the top left thats a little silly !!
They might have thought about this when developing the VB Toolkit me thinks
!!!

Gavin, you shouldn't need to? Try setting your X/Y Position Properties
manually on your Form Properties. I accidentally set my starting position to
centered (I have just started playing with VB) thinking it would center on
the P/PC screen. When nothing showed up I moved it back to Left and have not
had to change it again. If for some reason it will not stay as 0,0 why not
just code it into the Form Load procedure?

Yep yer right again Trevor dump this in every form load

Form1.top=0
Form1.left=0

No probs sometimes the Obvious gets overlooked !!!!

Ummmm... VB Toolkit support HPC and HPC (Pro) yes, but for PPC it ONLY
supports CE version 2.11 (ie: the newer PPC's like the Casio E-15, E-100,
E-105, Nino 510, Compaq 2150). It does not support the likes of the Nino
300/312/320, Casio E-10 or E-11.

To program with VB6 for the P/PC you ALSO need the P/PC SDK.

It is available for download at
http://www.microsoft.com/msdownload/cetools/ppcsdk_color.asp

It's a little over 50 Megs but easy to install and (for me so far) works
fine.

There is a separate Toolkit for PPC devices.
Go to http://msdn.microsoft.com/cetools/downloads/devkits.asp and download
Palm Size PC SDK.
It's a little over 50 Megs so I hope you're not using a modem. While you're
there, there's also a POOM (Pocket Outlook Object Model) file you might be
interested in too.

Hope this helps

Why is that?

I have an Everex Freestyle that has windows CE 2.0 on it. I too get the
error message "project type mismatch". But even if I create a project and
install it on the Everex, when I try to run it, I get "There is no
application associated with the file myproject.vb. Please launch the
application and load this file in manually".

So whats in Win CE 2.11 thats not in win ce 2.0 that allows the VBCE kit to
make and run programs?
