Linksys LNE100TX makes WinXP box freeze

Im trying to install a linksys lne100tx ver.5.1 network card on a machine
with an Intel D850GB motherboard. Everytime I install the card in any of the
slots, the machine will freeze during bootup. I tested the card on a
different XP machine and it worked great. Originally machine with the Intel
board did not have SP2, so I decided to upgrade it but that did nothing. I
reformatted the HDD and started from scratch, but again, nothing. I
installed a sound card on the machine with the Intel board and it worked
fine. I used it in all 5 PCI slots without any trouble. Any ideas?
