cannot uninstall mcafee

i want to uninstall mcafee security suite and then reinstall it but when i go
to add/remove and click the programs i get one message that says some
security components are not installed or launched properly. then i click
another mcafee program and it will start to uninstall and then a message
comes up saying that some components are missing
(c:\progra~1\mcafee.com\agent\uninsta\screm.ui)
all i want to do is get rid of any trace of mcafee so i can reinstall it
....i have email 2 different tech. support people at mcafee and no one has
fixed this.they gave me a removal tool and i get a message that says
components are missing and then i try again but never can find the missing
components or just get rid of the whole darn thing.
please can someone help me rid mcafee from my computer. thanks
